To promote public awareness of the Holocaust and other genocides; to encourage and support scholarship, research, and teaching about the Holocaust and genocide; and to promote public participation in efforts to confront contemporary genocide as it occurs.

Accepted invitation to host regional symposium “Belfer: First Step,” sponsored by the USHMM and the American Association of Colleges of Teacher Education (AACTE); program will bring college methods professors and outstanding pre-service teachers to IPFW for intensive training in Holocaust history and methodology; other participating institutions include Syracuse University, University of Pittsburgh, University of South Florida, Arizona State University, and University of Washington; will attend planning meeting at the USHMM (Washington, DC) during June, 2010

Host USHMM and AACTE symposia to be held on the IPFW campus during the 2010-2011 academic year

Received invitation to join the Association of Holocaust Organizations (AHO) (February 2010)
